Wedding photography for couples who want to remember how it felt.

There’s no such thing as a one-size-fits-all wedding, so why should a photographer work that way? Some couples want more time, more couple shoots and more details. Others want only a few key scenes and then to be relaxed. Everything is shaped around you, so you can enjoy your day and your moments while I capture them.

How it works

  1. Meet and greet. Getting to know you, your ideas, wishes and concerns is key. I want you to feel comfortable with me around during important moments.
  2. Moodboard and details. I share ideas, concepts and a moodboard based on your ideas, and together we shape it to fit your big day.
  3. Planning the day. As your planning progresses, I will stay in the loop and help you find the best flow for your day. You cannot fabricate magical moments, but you can create the atmosphere and flow that let the magic arrive naturally. This stage ends with you briefing me on the flow and schedule of your day.
  4. The big day. I arrive 45 to 60 minutes before we start. Being there early, and knowing I will adapt if needed, sets a different tone and relaxes everybody.
  5. First preview. Around 20 images while you’re still remembering the day, then the full gallery.

Questions couples ask

14 questions
Is your style documentary?

Mostly, yes. I don't direct most of the time. I help manage the day, give advice and only direct in a few situations we have agreed on in advance, such as specific wishes, poses or shots. Otherwise I interact, I don't direct. Telling a story, or asking you to reminisce about memories and enjoy the moment together, brings out your love and joy. If needed I'll nudge you here or there, and I'm very conscious not to interrupt the moment.

What do 8 hours cover?

There's no fixed answer. Some weddings start at 10 and have the first dance at 8pm, others are shorter. We place the hours where your day needs them, and if your day runs longer, we add more time.

How many photos will we receive?

Roughly 60 to 80 per hour, so most weddings land between 400 and 700 final images. There is no fixed limit. How can I know which smile or laugh is the one you prefer, the one that represents you the most?

How far ahead should we book?

Ideally 2 months in advance, depending on travel. I have shot on shorter notice too.

Where do you photograph?

Across Salzburg and beyond. Places I've photographed include Schloss Fuschl and Fuschlsee, Mirabellgarten and Schloss Mirabell, Hintersee, Erentrudisalm, the Gwandhaus and Langbathsee.

How long do couple portraits take?

It depends on your wishes, how many locations we want to shoot and the setting. Usually 30 to 45 minutes per location, and we can take our time if it's just one. I like to plan around natural light, so anything from sunrise to sunset and blue hour is possible.

Do you also film?

Yes. With my background in film and television, I can film your day as well. Just ask and we'll talk about what you have in mind.

Do you work with our planner and videographer?

Closely. We're all one team on the day. Knowing who needs what and when makes everyone's life easier and the day more relaxed.

What do you wear?

Formal attire. I blend in with the crowd and respect your dress code and wishes.

Will you post our photos?

We agree on this in the contract before your day. If you have concerns, I will leave out certain moments or intimate shots.

Can you make it look like a magazine cover?

A wedding is not a Vogue cover photoshoot. I'll happily address any requests and concerns, but the best pictures come from you enjoying your day.

How are our files kept safe?

Everything is backed up on site, then again to a RAID system in my home office. The on-site backup stays until your gallery is delivered.

Do you offer prints?

Yes. I will organise prints for you, and we choose them together.

How do we book?

A deposit reserves your date. Everything else, including what happens if plans change, is set out in the contract we agree together.
